Home Portrait Parties and a Contest!

Spring is here!  When’s the last time you had a family portrait done?  If the answer is “ummm….I don’t know!” then consider having a Home Portrait Party with Deanna DiMarzio!  She will come to your house and take family pictures of you and your friends!  If you have five or more families attend then there is no charge for her to be there!  Pictures can be done at your home or at your favorite place.  The hostess is responsible for scheduling her guests 15-20 minutes apart.  For hosting the party, the hostess will receive a package of 1 8x10, 2 5x7’s and 8 wallets from her family’s shoot.  (and if the sales are over $500, the hostess gets a 10x20 storyboard with 3-5 photos!)

And now for the contest….Deanna DiMarzio Photography is sponsoring a Fresh Faces Contest!  All you need to do is email me your favorite picture of your son and/or daughter to enter.  I’ll be accepting pictures until Sunday, May 16th.  Then all pictures will be posted and readers will be able to vote on the cutest face (both a boy and a girl)!  The winner will get a complimentary photo session from Deanna DiMarzio Photography, and 8x10 photo and a $20 gift certificate to either Gap Kids or Old Navy (your choice).  Send your photos to me at southshorekids@verizon.net with the subject of “Fresh Faces Contest” in the subject.

National Wildlife Week

March 15-21 is National Wildlife Week.  If you visit the National Wildlife Week website, they have lots of outside activities you can do with the kids. 

You can print a Family Activity Passport which has different activities for you to do with the kids on each day of the week.  (You have to do a super short survey first)  The passport is customized to your area as well.

The goal is to get kids outside for an extra hour observing wildlife, doing outdoor activities and maybe some good old fashioned games!  There’s even a photo contest for kids!
