Carousel Skate

This week I took my daughter to Carousel Skate (formerly Skatetown) in Whitman. My daughter has never been rollerskating and I haven't been on rollerskates in forever! We had a great time! We went during school vacation week at the 2:30-4:30 slot. Admission was reasonable at $7 plus $3 for skate rentals. The dj played all the newer music and even played games with the kids at different times while handing out tokens to the winners. There's a snack bar there serving up pizza, popcorn, pretzels, cotton candy and such. I think we'll definitely go back with the other kids soon!

Carousel Skate is on Route 14 in Whitman. You can check out their website for regular hours.

No more messes! (and a giveaway)

While at the gym a few weeks ago, I saw a postcard for a great little snack cup....The Munchie Mug. It looked like a great idea so I had to buy one for Lucas. Guess what? It IS a great idea!

The cup has a screw on top that has fabric stretched across it with a slit in the middle. Little hands can reach in a grab some of their cookies, crackers, goldfish etc and come out with just enough to eat. And....no more messes! The snack doesn't spill all over the place! Now, I don't have to find cereal under the couch or goldfish on the floor! Moms everywhere just got a big smile on their face and can give their vacuum a bit of a rest.

The Munchie Mug is great at home, in the car, at daycare or anytime your kid is on the go. Lucas uses his all day long and gets mad when I have to wash it. The mug is top rack dishwasher safe too! It's a big 16oz size and comes with a cover to keep snack fresh when the little one is done munching. This is a great alternative to open bowls or flimsy baggies!

Another great thing about the Munchie Mug is that it's 100% Made in the USA and made from environmentally friendly products. You can buy American and know you're helping the environment too! The Munchie Mug retails for $12.95 (plus $3.00 shipping) through their website.

Want to know what's even better? I have TWO of these great Munchie Mugs to give away...one of each color!

Head on over to Mommay's Mayhem to enter to win until 11:59pm February 20th.

You can also meet the folks from Munchie Mug at the American Baby & Family Expo in Boston March 21-22.

Color me some fun & a giveaway

I got these great cards in the mail last week from Color Me Company. When I opened them, my daughter (the artist) immediately grabbed them from me to check them out. They are blank inside and have an outline on the front for the kids to color in (and even came with 4 crayons). The kids can totally customize them however they want for any occasion! My daughter immediately started coloring them and was pondering who she should send her creations to.

Color Me Company not only sells cards but they have tshirts, pillowcases and seasonal items for your little artist to customize. What a great way to have your kids send a personal item to grandma that they "made" themselves! They "combine the thoughtfulness of a greeting card and the fun of a coloring book." Yea...my daughter was hooked!

You know what else really caught my eye? Their "giving is good" philosophy: Ten percent of their gross proceeds are donated to a charity. AND...you get to choose which charity when you checkout from a drop down list! How cool is that?

Another cool thing is that all the artwork is actually drawn by kids and you can actually submit your child's artwork to be considered on their products! I love how their products foster kids creativity. Any of their items would be great at a birthday party, a slumber party, your scouts meeting or as a gift!

The Color Me Company is generously giving away a Horse Pillowcase for one lucky reader! Head on over to my other blog, Mommay's Mayhem and enter to win!

If you don't win....don't cry! You can still order anything off their website and save 20% using code colormelovesmoms!
