started ours quite a few years ago before he became really popular. The kids love him. Our Elf Eldon (kids named him) appears on the morning after Thanksgiving. He watches over what the kids are doing and reports directly back to Santa every night. When he comes back, he’s in a different spot for the kids to find him. (so don’t forget to move him! lol) If they kids act up, I threaten that the Elf is going to tell on them! Really cute idea…and the kids love it. There’s a book that comes with him that you can read that tells all about how he “works”. We always put him up high because he loses his magic if he’s touched and I don’t want the kids “testing” it, lol.
