She’s got a ton of stuff going on monthly at Claychick!  So many excuses to get out and get creative:

  • Walk in pottery painting is just $8 per person plus the cost of your piece and she’s got a lot to choose from!
  • Ladies nights is every Thursday night and the cost $15 person plus your pottery…you can even bring your own wine, beer and snacks.  Great excuse to meet up with your girl friends!
  • Teen Nights are the second Friday each month and cost just $10 plus pottery…snacks, drinks and music is provided!
  • Birthday parties are fun at Claychick!  $75 for 90 minutes plus the pottery of choice.
  • Saturday morning clay workshops where you can actually make a clay project!  $25.

Claychick is located at 34 South Park Ave in Plymouth.  They are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 to 6:30.  Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12-5.  Closed on Tuesdays.

As a special for SSK readers, Claychick is giving away her most popular piece of pottery for you to paint!  What is it, you ask? Well, it’s either

  1. Piggy Bank
  2. Cupcake Trinket Box
  3. Mug

Hallmarkparty.com

Have you seen this site?  Hallmark Party will let you upload a picture and they will print them on the birthday plate of your choice!  They have all sorts of themes:  Princesses, Scooby, Batman, Mickey and more.

IMG_1519 You can even do them for holidays, baby, anniversary etc.  What a great idea!  (I ordered the chocolate cake style plate for my daughter’s birthday…and love them!  Great quality and pretty fast shipping! )  These would be great for a class party too.

9” dinner plates are a package of 10 for $10.00.  They were featured in Family Fun’s February magazine and if you use code FamilyFun50, you can get 10 plates for just $5.00!

Birthday Party Idea: Carousel Family Fun Center, Whitman

Over school vacation week, my daughter and I went to a birthday party at Carousel Family Fun Center in Whitman. Highly recommended! The party was booked for a private party so we had the rink to ourselves--that was great since a lot of the kids were beginner skaters. Got there at noon, skated for a little bit, the dj played a few games then it was pizza time. After that, back on the rink for skating until cake time. After the cake, they still had some skating time left and the party was over at 2.

The other cool thing was that they set up one end of the rink with roller racers/flying turtles for kids (um...and adults ;) lol). That's great for kids that had enough of the skating or are too small to skate.

During the party, they also had some costumed character come out to play games with the kid and to take pictures with the birthday girl.

A private party is a little pricey at $299.99...but might be more manageable if you had a combined party for your kids as they could invite everyone they know practically! You can also have a party during public skating hours...this is $13-15 per person.

I'm toying with the idea of combining my son's and daughter's party next year and having it here...we'll see!

Birthday Party Ideas: Jungle Plex

Sarah sent in her experience with a birthday party at Jungle Plex in Plymouth recently and allowed me to share with you:

I had my son Braden's 10th birthday party at the JunglePlex in Plymouth. He had a blast! It was a sports themed party, and Braden and 9 of his friends had so much fun playing soccer and dodgeball! The best part was that the JunglePlex took care of everything--they even provided invitations and thank you cards. I recommend the JunglePlex to all of my friends now. In addition to hosting birthday parties, they are a sports facility, have an arcade, play place area, cafe, and offer music and sports classes for children of all ages. The staff is super friendly, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. Check out their website! www.JunglePlex.com

Thanks for your email Sarah!

If you have any other places you recommend for birthday parties, please drop me an email and let me know!
