The Children’s Clothesline--Giveaway CLOSED

Animation ccline4Do you have gently used children’s clothing that you’d like to consign but haven’t gotten around to it?  Well the The Children’s Clothesline can help!  They are having their Spring Sale Saturday, March 26th and Sunday, March 27th from 9am-5pm at the Cardinal Cushing Center Main Gym on Washington Street in Hanover.  You can sign up online to consign your clothing.  You earn up to 60% of your sales.  Your $5.00 registration fee is deducted from your consignment check so no out of pocket expense!  You decide the price of your items and if you want them included in the half price sale and you can also either pick up the unsold items or donate them to charity.  The Children’s Clothesline has over 500 shoppers at every sale…what a easy to way to make money with clothing your children have outgrown!  All info  is on their website…how to sign up, how to tag your items and also drop off and pick up times.
And if you’re looking to BUY during the consignment sale…admission is free so mark your calendar to get some great deals!
The Children’s Clothesline is kind enough to donate a $25 gift certificate to their spring sale  AND a pass for admission to their Presale Friday night  (7-9pm) so you can get a jump on the good deals!  All you need to do is leave a comment on this post.  For an extra entry, become a fan of The Children’s Clothesline on facebook and leave another entry!  Simple!  Winner will be drawn on Friday March 18th.  Good luck!

2 AC Moore Events for kids

Head on over to AC Moore in Hanover this Saturday from 1-3pm and the kids can “Design their own Sqwishlander” (they look like Squinkies to me).  Then on Saturday Jan. 29th from 1-3, kids can decorate their own Valentine’s Treat Tubes.  Both are available while supplies last.

Some Halloween Weekend Events

NE Wildlife Center, Weymouth: “Night of a Thousand Faces” from 4:30-8:30 on Friday night.  Hundreds of jack o lanterns line nature trails.  $7/adults, $5/kids.

Wareham Crossing, Wareham:  Best Buy is having face painting, costume contest from 11-3 on Saturday.  The stores will also have trick or treating throughout the day on Sunday.  Friendly’s Express is also giving a free kids meal with an adult entrée on Sunday.

Borders Stores:  Halloween Spooktacular at 11 am on Saturday.  Scary stories, games, craft and parade.  See website for participating stores.

Independence Mall, Kingston:  Mall-wide trick or treating from 3-5pm on Sunday and a costume contest at 4:45 in Center Court.

Hanover Mall, Hanover:  More mall wide trick or treating from 3-5pm on Sunday.  Stop by Uno’s in your costume and kids get a free make your own pizza (see restaurant for details).

Silver City Galleria, Taunton:  Visit on Saturday from 6-8pm  and children 12 and under can trick or treat at stores displaying an orange poster.  Kids can also enter a coloring contest in the center court.  Costumed kids will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes.  (No Masks Allowed)

Carousel, Fall River:  Family Halloween Party at the Fall River Carousel.  For kids 12 and under.  Costume contest, candy hunts, ghost stories, crafts, face painting and more.  $10 per person.  Reservations Required.  Saturday, 3-5pm.

Halloween Day Event, Hanover:  West Hanover Crossing will have halloween fun…face painting, photos, games, crafts and more.  Sunday, 1-4pm.  1415 Hanover Street (Rt. 139).  All proceeds will benefit Hanover PTA.

Paragon Carousel, Hull:  “Haunted” Carousel, 12-3 on Sunday. Fun, prizes and ice cream!

Halloween Family Festival, Everwood Day Camp, Sharon:  Meet Wally the Green Monster, pumpkin painting, hayrides, facepainting, moonwalks and much more!  Free!  Noon –2pm, Sunday.

Zoo Howl, Franklin Park Zoo:  Saturday & Sunday 11-3pm.  Crafts, games, trick or treating and a haunted maze.  Hayrides available too!

Halloween Howl, South Shore Natural Science Center, Norwell:  5-7:30pm on Saturday.  Crafts, activities, pumpkin decorating and a wildlife presentation.  $10 for non members, $8 for members.  Includes a walk through Spooky Woods too.

Unscary Halloween Party, Soule Homestead, Middleboro:  Hayride, games, story, costume parade.  4-6pm Saturday (rain date Sunday).  $5 for members, $7/nonmembers.  Must preregister.

Hanover Day

This Saturday from 10-4 is Hanover Day at Sylvester Field in Hanover.  Lots of fun stuff for the kids to do including crafts, moonwalk, animal demonstrations, games and more!

They are showing the movie Up that night as well starting around 8:45.

Events at the Hanover Mall

The Hanover Mall is having fun for kids during school vacation. 

  • Monday 2/15:  Activities with the YMCA 11-1
  • Wednesday 2/17:  Balloon Scupltures with Lou the Balloonist, fun & games with RaRa, 11-1
  • Thursday 2/18: Ronald McDonald fun show at 11am
  • Friday 2/19: Zymbatomic for Kids at 11am, Activites with the YMCA from 12-1:30, Zumba Dance Party at 2pm.

Family Fun at Merchant's Row

Merchant's Row in Hanover is having a Fall Into Family Fun event on Saturday, October 3rd from 11am-4pm. There will be children's entertainment, crafts and more. There will also be child-related topics throughout the afternoon. A fun and informative day!

Hanover Mall Events

There's a carnival going on at the Hanover Mall. It's running June 10th thru June 14th. Click here for a money saving coupon!

Also, Walmart at the Hanover Mall is having a Children's Safety Event this Saturday, June 13 from 10-3. Hanover Police will be doing ID kits and fingerprinting and there will be a safety table set up.

Spring Fling at Borders

Head on over to your nearest Borders bookstore on Saturday, April 11 at 2pm for their Spring Fling Kids Easter Party. Have the kids dress up for a parade, participate in sing a longs, listen to stories and more. Bring a camera to capture the fun, then upload your photos to their Facebook page. Santa's Workshop at Michaels

Don't forget that Michaels Craft Stores has make and take crafts for the kids to do on most Saturdays from 10-2. On December 6th, they are having "Santa's Workshop" where kids can make (& wrap) three gifts. These would be great for the kids to give to loved ones. Cost is $5 per child and is geared towards ages 5-12. Check your local Michaels store for more information!
