One of my favorite places to take the kids for breakfast or lunch is Plane Jane's at the Plymouth Airport on South Meadow Road. We like to grab a seat out on the patio where we can sit and watch the planes take off and land. The kids get a big kick out of it!
When we're done eating, we usually grab a seat on the bench or swing which is on the grass right at the fence. The kids like to hear the pilots over the radio and wait for them to land.
Weekends are a good time to go because there's more flight activity but it's harder to get the "prime" seats on the patio!
The food at Plane Jane's is yummy....we LOVE their pizza. And my son thinks they have the best chicken fingers around. Definitely go check it out....the kids will love it!
PS. If you're a letterboxer...there's a box there! =)

Hot Air Balloon Festival
This June, we went camping in Vermont for the Queechee Hot Air Balloon Festival and had a great time! The kids loved seeing all the hot balloons up close and in flight. (And I thought it was a pretty awesome sight as well). The festival had some games and activities for the kids and lots of vendors selling their mostly homemade items.
They have different things going on during the festival too. Friday night they had a cool balloon glow. They had skydivers jumping out of planes and landing in the field. Lots of entertainment and music.
Admission was paid once and honored all weekend. And it was not expensive at $10 per adult, $5 per child 6-12 and under 5 free!
We camped at a local KOA but there were lots of hotels in the area too. Highly recommended!
The festival is held Father's Day weekend every year and we plan on going back again per the kids orders! =)
If you know of other balloon festivals in New England...please let me know!
